'Musique Celtique', Orealis's debut for Green Linnett Records, features
the band's original line-up with Kirk MacGeachy (vocals and guitar),
Jim Stephens (hammered dulcimer, bouzouki, whistles) and Renee Morin (synthesizers).
Backing vocals are provided by none-other-than Kate and Anna McGarrigle and percussion
by Michel Dupire. The album is a beautiful tapestry of songs and instrumentals. The music
is atmospheric and exciting with scintillating production (courtesy Johnny Cunningham )
giving a big sweeping sound.
"Simply put, Orealis's self-titled debut for Green Linnett is a
revelation, a marvelous mix of modern synthesizer textures with
centuries-old musical style."
- The Post-Star, Saratoga-Springs
"A really classy effort that stands with the best in the
Celts-'n-synths field!"
- Folk Roots Magazine
"The band steals a cosmic something from the aurora borealis pictured on
the cover. They make traditional sounds for a new age."
